Future's Team Selected!
Herzoffs, Grahams, Frosts, & Kovacs comprise the team assigned the task of scouting out the new home for the Cafe. Their first assignment: Find out what's out there. They will be trying to identify all potential sites. Their next meeting: Saturday, Aug. 25 Got ideas? Call Rick - 877-5702

Insurance UPDATE - The Insurance companies has had their meetings and settled the score. We have submitted our Inventory List (thanks Larry). They are checking for new reimbursement prices for each of the items. When it is all calcutated, they will give us a settlement check.

Leadership Team Changes - Larry Hobbs and Rick Herzoff have rotated off the Team in order to focus more on ministry. Joining the team is Pat Lillie, Jodi George and Marc Wallace. They join Terry and Jayson. Thanks to Larry and Rick for your ministry to the body in the Leadership Team role.

Children - Sheri Nash has completed her ministry of heading up our Children's ministry. She will still serve as one of the teachers. Thanks Sheri for all your love for our kids. Pray for new leadership in this area. Ideas? Call Jayson - 345-6121.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOU?

A PRAYER FROM MY JOURNAL... FOR ME AND FOR US.
Lord, So much of this life is lived in between; between the now and the not yet, between arriving and departing, between growing up and growing old, between questions and answers.

Lord, help me... help us not to live for the distant day when the in-between will be no more, but help us have the courage to step into that sacred space of the in between --- knowing that this is a place where life is transformed.

Psalm 46 is a good one!
Well all the Psalms are good. They are songs that come from the heart.

This Psalm talks about a tool that God uses to shape busy people like you and I: God speaks in a still small voice - He challenges us to turn down the roar of our lives in order to recognize His voice.

"Be Still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord Almighty is with us." Being still is not doing nothing. Being still is about quieting ourselves and letting the character of God be where we place our trust. People who are willing to "be still" are better able to hear His "still small voice." Are you slowing down each day enough to hear his voice.

August is TEAMWORK Month - As the fall approaches it's time to rebuild the ministry teams. Abby Jones is heading up our new volunteer recruitment strategy. There are needs in all ministry areas. Contact Abby - 520-4905.

Many of the Cafe ministries will be resuming in August and September.
Celebrate Recovery is meeting now at CityLife Church (Eaton and Esplanade) Divorce Care is securing meeting place. Women's Bible Sturies and Precepts will be launching soon.
